Use of Business Intelligence Solutions will shift dramatically from dedicated analysts to all managers and professionals spending 5% of their time using BI Software”

The Gartner Group

Q4bis Analysis is a business tool which provides the information that decision makers need in a simple “easy-to-use” interface, which uses Microsoft Analysis Services powerful OLAP engine.  (Smarter - Simpler - Faster)

Using SQL Data Transformation Services "DTS" any Data Source can be used to create Business Level Cubes.

Q4bis is the presentation layer for viewing Cubes which are aggregted data views

We offer "Dashboard" implementations using Business Intelligence "BI".

This involves presenting Business Information from what can be from disparate sources and aggregating, analyzing and presenting it as a high-level business view.

These views can then be sliced / diced / Rolled-Up and Down all the way down to the source data.

OLAP is an acronym for On Line Analytical Processing.

It is becoming the fundamental foundation for:

  • Business Performance Management
  • Planning
  • Budgeting
  • Forecasting
  • Financial Reporting
  • Analysis
  • Simulation Models
  • Knowledge Discovery
  • Data Warehouse Reporting

OLAP Enables end-users to perform ad-hoc analysis of data in multiple dimensions in Real-Time, thereby providing the insight and understanding they need for better decision making.

What Is A Cube?

A cube is another terms for OLAP which can be furture defined as a specialized database that is optimized to combine, process, and summarize large amounts of data.

This allows users to analyze, compare, and report on data in order to spot business trends, opportunities and or problems.

A cube uses pre-aggregated data instead of aggregating the data at the time the user submits a query as in a typical report (i.e. Crystal Reports).
